• Procedures that are considered to be general dental services are exams, cleanings, sealants, fillings, x-rays, and crowns.
• Fees for work done by specialists are reduced by 20 percent from their normal fees. You do not need a referral from your general dentist to see a specialist.
• Specialists within the plan offer such services as wisdom tooth extraction, extensive root canals, bridges, dentures, treatment for diseased gums, and special children’s procedures.
• Braces or orthodontist’s services are available through the plan but have a separate reduced fee structure.
